Applying for Service
Following is the process for applying for a service or transferring to a new premise.
- Step 1 - Visit any of our office in your area.
- Step 2 – Ensure that you bring along with you either your social security card, passport or drivers license. In the case of business customers you need to bring along a written request on the letter head of your business, authorizing the person to apply for the service on your behalf.
- Step 3 – If the premises that you will be moving into has a meter number, bring along the meter # with you.
- Step 4 - One of our friendly CSR will assist you with the filling out of your application form and you will be asked to sign the form or you can do it on-line.
- Step 5 - A verification will be done by the CSR to verify if you had any previous account with an outstanding balance with us.
- Step 6 – If a meter is already at the premises an account will be open and you will be required to make payment for the installation of your service. However, if the premises doesn’t have a meter a site inspection will be done which will take anywhere between 2 to 3 working days.
- Step 7 – if a site inspection is conducted, upon completion you will be required to visit our office to make payment.
- Step 8 – If meter is already at the premises it will be completed within 1 to 2 working days any other new installation will be done within 2 to 3 working days.
Please note that installations that require heavy equipment or permission to excavate from the city or town council may incur additional time to complete.
