Belize City, Belize. April 13, 2010:

COMMISSIONING OF WATER DISTRIBUTION SYSTEM IN CAYE CAULKER

Belize Water Services advises that the commissioning of the Water Distribution System is in its final stage of Sterilisation. At this time, water with an elevated level of Chlorine will be pumped into certain sections of the mains.

The Public is advised that this water is not suitable for use. Additionally, it is vital that all of this water remain in the system to ensure proper sanitisation of the water system prior to the system going live. Belize Water Services therefore request that all connections to the system be removed.
