Water Supply Restrictions in San Pedro Update

Water Supply in San Pedro, Ambergris Caye

BWS takes this opportunity to thank residents, business owners and visitors to San Pedro for their patience and restraint exercised over the long Easter weekend which helped us to maintain continuous water supply for the entire weekend.

BWS expresses special appreciation to our staff from San Pedro for their dedicated work during the challenges faced over the long weekend. Their constant testing and monitoring of the entire system throughout the weekend allowed us to keep San Pedro Town continuously supplied with water. There were only a few short periods when the pressures were reduced to curtail water usage to ensure availability during peak periods.

BWS reassures the public that we will continue to collaborate with Consolidated Water Belize Ltd (CWBL), the private company that operates the Reverse Osmosis Water Treatment Plant on San Pedro, Ambergris Caye. We will also continue to coordinate with CWBL to maintain adequate production and storage to meet the water demand for the town.

BWS is pleased to announce that the water production and storage are sufficient for the expected demand over the next few weeks. BWS does not expect any other problems in the supply to San Pedro. Should customers experience any problems with supply, please feel free to contact our San Pedro Office so we can address their concern.
